World Vision Canada

For 65 years, this not-for-profit organization has crusaded against child poverty. With the goal to put themselves out of work, World Vision Canada has launched a global campaign to end childhood injustice and spark sustainable change—where no other charity has gone before. In 2017, we redesigned and redeveloped their website, delivering a 50,000-page, multilingual, responsive, and AODA-compliant product in just 120 days.

Partnering with youths and their communities to tackle poverty and injustice, World Vision Canada uses the power of love to go where no organization has gone before. In 2017, we revamped their website, providing them with an outstanding product in just 120 days—while also staying on-budget.

Exceptional results for an exceptional organization.

For nearly seven decades, World Vision Canada has worked tirelessly to help the populations who need it most. This not-for-profit charity works with children, families, and neighbourhoods across the planet to reduce inequities at the source. With their sustainable efforts and outstanding results, they have become a true leader in global development, making a household name for themselves.

In 2017, we relaunched World Vision Canada’s website in accordance with their marketing team’s business requirements. Essentially, the organization wanted a complete overhaul of the site, as well as integration into Kentico, their CMS of choice.

From the start of our discovery process through to testing and deployment, we were allotted only 120 days to complete this task. Needless to say, we delivered the 50,000-page project on time, supplying design work, development (front and back), UX/UI documents, content migration, testing, deployment support, Kentico CMS template development, and AODA consultation.

The new site is responsive, multilingual, and AODA compliant. Additionally, it has proven to:

  • Improve SEO
  • Reduce site load time
  • Improve the content deployment process
  • Reduce issues with WCMS back-end
  • Increase the “happiness” of World Vision Canada’s Operations Team & empower their Digital Marketers.

This site was a 2017 Kentico Site of the Month, and was nominated for 2018 Global Site of the Year as one of only three contenders in its category.

This site also won the 2018 Communicator Award’s Award of Excellence, the 2018 W3 Silver Award, and the 2018 MarCom Gold Award.

We continue to work with World Vision Canada, and have launched four additional microsites in 2018. While this project was not our largest deployment, it has absolutely been one of our most rewarding.

Air Whistle Media impressed us with anticipating our digital needs during the discovery phase and then delivering on time and budget. I value their ongoing partnership equally as much as their ability to deliver; focusing on a true partnership not just being an implementation vendor.
